# The Story of Hazim's Homecoming The story follows Hazim, an only child in his family. He was born in Malaysia but raised in Abu Dhabi because his father worked there. For the past five years, Hazim has not had the opportunity to fast and celebrate Hari Raya in Malaysia. After his grandmother passed away, his father no longer returned to Malaysia. They celebrated there instead. Through Facebook, Hazim kept in touch with Pak Su Hanafi, his father's youngest brother. They often shared stories on social media. Pak Su remained unmarried and lived in the ancestral home left by Hazim's late grandfather and grandmother. This year, Hazim expressed his desire to fast and celebrate Hari Raya in Malaysia, coinciding with his school semester break. His parents agreed to his proposal. Pak Su Hanafi was thrilled about Hazim's return. Pak Su was a Mathematics teacher at a secondary school in the village.
