Biography
Joe Bini is an American film editor born in 1963 in San Mateo, California. As a film editor, he has collaborated with Werner Herzog on numerous documentaries and feature films in twenty years, including: Little Dieter Needs to Fly (1997), Invincible (2001), Grizzly Man (2005), Rescue Dawn (2007), and Encounters at the End of the World (2007), Into the abyss (2011) or Into the Inferno (2016). He has also collaborated with Marina Zenovich (Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, 2008), Andrea Arnold (American Honey, 2016) or Lynne Ramsay (We Need to talk about Kevin, 2011; You Were Never Really Here, 2017).

Created by renowned film editor Joe Bini (Grizzly Man, All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, You Were Never Really Here), the piece explores the psychology of anonymity required in being an editor. Combining words and imagery, physical and digital media, it blurs the lines between fiction and non-fiction to tell a story about how stories are told.
