Amanda becomes jealous seeing Iris close to Dania. Amanda falls down the stairs causing her second pregnancy to miscarry and her uterus has to be removed. Iris also dies from food poisoning when Amanda is distressed as her mother-in-law pressures Khair to remarry. Dania's face becomes disfigured as a result of being attacked by Sandra who harbors old resentment toward Amanda for failing to marry Khair.
