Biography
Dinupa Kodagoda is a Sri Lankan actress and performing artist known for her work in television, film, and theatre. She began her artistic journey as a child performer on the popular musical television program Hapan Pedura, where she developed her early screen presence. She gained wide recognition for her role in the TV Series “Weeraya Gedara Awith”, earning the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Raigam Tele’es (2019) and the State Television Awards (2020), as well as a Merit Award for Acting at the SIGNIS Awards (2022) for the same performance. She is set to appear in the upcoming film “Chandarege Wife”, directed by Prasanna Jayakody, marking a significant step in her continuing work in cinema. Alongside her on-screen career, Dinupa has a strong foundation in theatre, performing in productions locally and internationally. She is also a trained singer and dancer, with a background in Hindustani classical music, Kathak dance, Sri Lankan traditional, and Contemporary dance, bringing depth and versatility to her performances. A graduate of the University of the Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo, she continues to build a dynamic career across screen and stage.
