Biography
(1989 Biography) Frido Ruth was born in Evanston, Illinois in 1962. He studied Computer Science and Singing at Bonn and Cologne University, West Germany and trained as a dancer in Hamburg. Frido worked as a Systems Advisor before taking the job, first of keyboard player, and later as Assistant Musical Director on Cats, Hamburg. In 1987 he was Musical Director for Cats in Amsterdam and then returned to the Hamburg production to understudy Munkustrap and Rum Tum Tugger. In 1988 Frido played Espresso in the German production of Starlight Express. He later became Assistant Musical Director for the show. Before coming to London Frido produced the German live album of Starlight Express. This is Frido's first West End show.
