She became a household name through her long-running cooking show «Fjernsynskjøkkenet», which aired from 1970 to 1996, making her a pioneering figure in Norwegian culinary media. Over her career, she authored more than 50 cookbooks and received numerous accolades, including the International Association of Culinary Professionals' Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.
