Gamel Awwad
Biography
A Jordanian actor, director, and author, born in Amman in 1937. His full name is Jamil Youssef Awad Al-Awwad. He studied interior design, and joined the Jordanian television since its inauguration in 1968. But he left the Jordanian capital Amman for a while to return again in 1974 to produce his first theatrical play entitled The Absent. Among his most important works in television dramas: Shajarat Al-Durr (1979), Abu Firas Al-Hamdani (1982) and Moon and Magic (1998).
