We typically get your run-of-the-mill dumb asses on probation: 18, 19, and 20 year old guys who aren't old enough to go out yet so they do something stupid and get into some minor trouble. Every once in a while, however, we get a guy on parole or with a hardened criminal past. These ass-wipes are that type. All of them pulled some really bad shit back in the day, and now they jump around different halfway houses in between girlfriends. Needless to say, we are always surprised about their lack of respect for the house rules, given their extensive history of institutionalization. We always know that they don't have any money or anywhere to go, so with that in mind, we always make sure they learn how we do things around here - and fast.

Needless to say, I was surprised about his lack of respect for the house rules, given his extensive history of institutionalization. I knew he didn't have any money or anywhere to go, so with that in mind I made sure he learned how we do things around here - and fast. The 4th time he comes in late from his placement job, I barely let him get through the front door before I have him down on my dick.

Aside from giving lame excuse after lame excuse for not doing something, or for having done something bad, most Halfway House residents biggest problem is doing something so half-assed that they might as well have not done it. For example, common chores like cleaning, attending and participating in AA and NA meetings, following simple rules, commands, and instructions. The thing that flabbergasts the House Managers is that when confronted about their lazy, sullen, idiotic dereliction of duty, they whine – they give this or that reason why they couldn’t do a simple task, or follow an easy instruction. Well, one of our mottos here at the House is “Don’t Cry, Just Try.” Of course these dolts usually don’t try, so we resort to extreme methods to knock some sense into their pea-brains.
