He is a Japanese singer who rose to fame as a member of the band Rats & Star (formerly known as Chanels), which began activities in 1975. He began his solo career in 1980. He is called Japan's King Of Love Songs. His trademarks are sunglasses and a moustache, and he is nicknamed "Martin".

One day, Kou Morishita, who lives in New York, receives a message informing him of the death of his close friend, Kitano. Kitano had been eliminated by Yamagishi, a fixer who controls Yokohama, over a dispute regarding the rights to a cocaine smuggling operation. After returning to Japan, Kou, together with his protégé Shinohara, decides to intervene.
