He was previously married to Jessica Collins. Under his real name Barry Kaufman, he was a model for Ford Models. He appeared on the cover of GQ (February 1982) and Vogue Sports, as well as print ads for Giorgio Armani, Macy's, Avey's, North Beach Leather, Saks Fifth Avenue, Calvin Klein, Marshall Fields, Nino Cerruti, Tannery West, among others.
