It is an adaptation of the Argentine children's telenovela El árbol azul (1991–1992), created by Mario L. Mortheo and adapted for Mexican television by Alejandro Orive and Carlos Daniel González. The story follows Luciana, a young girl who loses her mother at an early age and longs to have a loving family again.
