When Olcay's husband commits suicide and leaves a huge debt behind, Olcay and her teenage daughter, Duru, are forced to move to a slum in Istanbul. They find themselves financially dependent on Olcay's only remaining friend, so Olcay starts to look for a job. Without any degree or experience, she tries to survive doing all sorts of odd jobs. The theme song is an edited version of "Gündüz Gece" by Âşık Veysel Şatıroğlu who is also named "Uzun Ince bir Yoldayım" which was a famous Turkish folk music and Veysel was the famous one for this song.

Evli ve Çocuklu (Married with Children) was a Turkish adaptation of the American sitcom Married... with Children and ran for 8 episodes on the Turkish TV channel Kanal D in 2004. The series was a literal translation of the original series, only with Turkish actors. All dialogues, gags, and episode titles were taken from the original scripts, except for the names which were changed to Turkish ones. Al Bundy became Niyazi Tonguç, Peggy was named Jale, and the children's names were Efe and Tugba instead of Bud and Kelly.
