Biography

Sirje Tennosaar (née Sirje Arbi; June 5, 1943 – April 23, 2021) was an Estonian actress and television presenter. She had major roles in the films Jääminek (1962) and Jäljed and in the television production Maailm minuta (1974) and in the television series Kelgukoerad (2009). Tennosaar was a member of the Endla Theatre in 1963, before moving to the Estonian Drama Theatre in 1966. She then became a television presenter at Eesti Televisioon (ETV) from 1971 until 1991. Then she moved to Kanal 2 from 1993 to 2000. Tennosaar was married to singer and journalist Kalmer Tennosaar from 1964 until 1978. Her daughter is actress Liina Tennosaar.

Heino Raagen and his war comrades begin a new battle while arriving at their home village - establishing a collective farm. The sufferings and fears of the war have exhausted people; nevertheless, they still stick together and protect their close ones. Heino's girlfriend Valve hides the plans of her brother Robert hiding in the forest from him; as a result, their relationship will fall apart. Life goes on, but disappointment and anger will take their toll even when years have gone by.

Witty schoolboys find out that Mr Velirand, who has moved in the apartment that once belonged to their teacher, is a henchman of Fascists. The boys make up their minds to give people warning about the provocator, even if the rebellion is risky and their opponent superior, as it had been in the St George's Night Uprising in 1343.

Their stubbornness and disobedience to German occupiers leads to dramatic events where staying alive is worse than death. Since it is impossible to escape public contempt, they have to decide how to redeem themselves.
