Biography
Kevin MacMichael was an acclaimed Canadian guitarist, songwriter, and record producer best known as a co-founder and the lead guitarist of the 1980s pop-rock band Cutting Crew. He co-wrote and played the distinctive, soaring guitar tracks on their massive 1986 global number-one hit, "(I Just) Died in Your Arms". Known for his melodic, textured, and highly intentional playing style, MacMichael earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist with the band in 1988. Following his time with Cutting Crew, he became a core collaborator for Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant, serving as his guitarist and musical director on the critically acclaimed 1993 album Fate of Nations.

They are best remembered for their debut album Broadcast and hit singles, "(I Just) Died in Your Arms", "I've Been in Love Before", "One for the Mockingbird", and "Everything But My Pride".
