Biography
Anthony Terrence "Tony" Thompson was an American session drummer best known as the drummer of the Power Station and a member of Chic. He also notably performed on Rodgers/Edwards-produced hits by Diana Ross, Sister Sledge, and David Bowie, plus hits for Madonna and Jody Watley. Thompson died of kidney cancer just a month after being diagnosed, three days before his 49th birthday.

This concert was a celebration of the Chic legacy, and featured an all-star line-up with guest appearances by Sister Sledge, Slash and Steve Winwood. The Power Station Video EP is a video by The Power Station, released by EMI-PMI in 1986. The EP contains promotional videos of the first three singles by The Power Station, which were all released in 1985. These singles are "Some Like It Hot", "Get It On (Bang a Gong)" and "Communication". Model Caroline Cossey is featured in "Some Like It Hot". "Communication" contains an array of footage showing communication in the world, with clips of the band performing the song in the studio. The EP was re-released as a DVD, which was part of The Power Station (2 Disc Set) in 2005.

Ricochet provides a behind-the-scenes portrait of David Bowie during his 1983 Serious Moonlight Tour. Filmed on location in Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong, this film includes live performances of “Fame,” “Look Back in Anger,” “Heroes” and “Ricochet.” Ricochet was previously released to home video in 1984 in a shorter version, separately from the Serious Moonlight video. It was later reissued as an extra with the 2006 DVD reissue of Serious Moonlight.
