Rubens Gerchman (Rio de Janeiro, January 10, 1942 - São Paulo, January 29, 2008) was a Brazilian visual artist, of Swedish descent, linked to avant-garde trends such as psychedelicism and influenced by pop-art, art concrete and neoconcrete. The artist used football, television and political icons in his works.
