Anup Mukhopadhyay
Biography
Anup Mukhopadhyay was a four-time National Award winning sound designer and had 500 films to his credit. One of the last members of Satyajit Rayâs unit, who once famously said that sound is not just to be heard but felt as well. The FTII alumnus and former SRFTI dean also worked with the likes of Mrinal Sen, Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Goutam Ghose and Aparna Sen, received National Awards for âUttaraâ, âEnough of Silenceâ, âBhalo Thekoâ and âIti Srikantoâ. Even a day before his demise on 22 December 2023, Mukhopadhyay was busy with Sandip Rayâs âNayan Rahasyaâ.
