Ali Rafie
Biography
Ali Rafie (Persian: علی رفیعی; born January 11, 1938) is an Iranian theatre and cinema director and stage designer. He received a B.S and master's in sociology (1964–1968), as well as a B.S., master's, and Ph.D. in theater (1967–1974), from the Sorbonne in Paris.

The intertwined lives of two women in 1970s France, set against the progress of the women's movement in which Agnes Varda was involved. Pomme has become an unconventional singer, Suzanne a serious community worker - despite the contrast they remain friends and share in the various dramas of each others' lives, in the process affirming their different female identities.
