Biography

Cyndi Ochs is an American visual effects producer. Beginning her career in the late 1990s, she served as a production assistant in the art department on Starship Troopers (1997) and transitioned into visual effects production, earning credits on King Kong (2005) as digital effects producer. Over the years, she took on increasingly senior VFX production roles at major visual effects studios. She is best known for producing visual effects on high-profile films, including Avatar (2009), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), The Avengers (2012), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). Her contributions to Rise of the Planet of the Apes earned her recognition from the Visual Effects Society: she, along with Dan Lemmon, Joe Letteri, and Kurt Williams, received a nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects in an Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture at the 10th Annual VES Awards. The following year, at the 2012 VES Award ceremony held in early 2012, the same team won the VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture for Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
