Biography

Alfonso Ungría (born March 30, 1946, in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish film and television director and screenwriter. After beginning his career in independent cinema in the late 1960s, he directed numerous films and television productions, including El hombre oculto (1970), Gulliver (1976), Soldados (1978), La conquista de Albania (1983), África (1996), and El deseo de ser un piel roja (2002). He also directed several productions for Televisión Española (TVE), including the television film Lazos (1994).
