Biography

Jan Pieter (Jan Peter) Balkenende (pronunciation®; Biezelinge, 7 May 1956) is a Dutch professor emeritus and former politician of Christen-Democratisch Appèl (CDA). He served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 22 July 2002 to 14 October 2010. Since 14 October 2022, he has been Minister of State.
