Set in a virtual simulation of Shibuya, Tokyo which is regulated by an entity named Piece which does not allow inhabitants to live, the series focuses on a fifteen-year-old boy named Tsuyoshi who seeks to find both his lost memories and a way to escape Shibuya. To maintain control, Piece locks "kills" those who do not operate within the proper confines of the world, which results in their being reset and inserted back into the city with a new name and identity and without their previous memories.

aka Aquarian Age: The Movie, is based on the popular Japanese CCG (that's collectable card game, for you gaming neophytes), Aquarian Age. The movie represents the transition between the game's first and second Sagas and seems to have been made primarily for fans of the card game, so familiarity with the basic story and characters is assumed. Those watching the movie without first reading the background info in the included booklet are going to be totally lost about what's going on, as the movie begins right in the middle of the climatic battle which wraps up the first Saga. Though it uses the same organizations as the Aquarian Age TV series, the movie does not seem to be directly related to the TV series in any way. (I cannot absolutely confirm this, however, since I only ever saw the first few episodes of the TV series.)

Aiba Tsubasa has astounding mathematical powers. At that moment a mysterious blue hits Atsuo and he loses consciences. He starts to have visions of bodies and ghosts covered with blood and suddenly he goes back in time to August 12, 1985. On that day a Japan Air Liner crashed and Satogakuin teacher Sato Takashi goes on a murdering rampage. Sato Takashi was known as a kind and generous person, but his mind was taken over by an evil entity. That evil entity now tries to take over Atsuo's mind...
