Dimitris Koutsiambasakos
Biography
Dimitris Koutsiabasakos studied Film and TV Direction at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography ( VGIK), Moscow. He has directed documentaries, TV series, short and feature films for cinema and television. He directed his first short film Hill 33 in 1998. In 2006 he directed the fiction film The Guardian’s Son. Among his documentaries are The Grocer, Silent Witness, Yannis Kastritsis - The Man and his Shadow; Heracles, Acheloos and Mesochora and . Dimitris has received national and international awards for his work.

In 1974, a group of 11-year-old boys spend the last carefree summer of their childhood, unaware that the world of grown-ups, with its loves, passions, prejudices and curses, is about to seal their fate. School has closed for the summer holidays and the children spend their time playing games, running errands, and riding their bikes.
