Katheryn Mcgaffigan
Biography
Katheryn grew up in New Hampshire in a German-American family and now lives in New York City. She performed internationally in the gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello and appeared in several documentaries about the group (Gogol Bordello Non-Stop (2006), The Pied Piper of Hützovina (2007), Gogol Bordello Documentary (2002), and Scream of My Blood: A Gogol Bordello Story (2023)). Katheryn made her Off-Broadway debut with Follower, a solo show she wrote and performed, which premiered at Theatre Row as part of the acclaimed United Solo Theatre Festival. Her acting training includes studies at renowned institutions such as Harvard University, The New Actors Workshop, The Barrow Group, Magnet Theater, LAByrinth Theater Company, T. Schreiber Studio, Lucid Body, and Bali Conservatory, among others. In addition to her work on stage and screen, Katheryn is also a published poet.

It is the story of two people traveling together on two very different courses. Her aim is to rediscover a forgotten romance; his is to rediscover his roots. She hopes to find love on the road; he hopes to find musical inspiration from the gypsy culture he is determined to preserve. This is an intimate portrait of a filmmaker with a passion for her subject, and a punk musician with a longing to revisit his past.
